Why Project Based Learning? My Elevator Speech

The 20th century model of passively learning facts and then regurgitating them back to teachers is no longer an effective learning model for the 21st century. Students still need to learn the basic fundamental skills of reading writing and arithmetic. Now but now they need to also learn the skills necessary to be successful in the digital world that is the 21st century. Project Based Learning offers students the opportunity to learn about and develop the 21st century skills of collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking.
