Text to Movie: How would you use this in the classroom?

Came across a movie making site the other day; Xtranormal is a text to movie site. If you can type a script you can make a movie. I was curious about how this could be used in the classroom. Check it out and let me know what you think. Post your ideas here or go to the google form and share your ideas.

  1. This is great, Chuck. I haven't thought it about it too much, but there are a few ideas that came off the top of my head:

    1. Attention getting class starters off the Smart Board.

    2. Struggling ELA students: have them preview their writing by copying it into the player and then listening to the video. A lot of those kids would catch their mistakes when they heard their writing read aloud. This might work for them too.

    3. Creative Writing: dialogue writing

    4. Vocabulary practice that could be turned into review videos.

    5. Presentation tools
